From the desk of Herman Shrew;
As many of you are aware, I have dedicated my entire adult life to unravelling the mysteries surrounding Gertrude, and carefully documenting her history, so that my successor may continue the research long after I am gone.
My research began when I discovered Gertrude was the sole survivor of the Ice Age – what’s more shocking is the longevity of life a decade frozen in time has given her. This may astound you, reader, but I estimate Gertrude is over 20,000 years old.
What can only be described as the “Knowledge Years,” not much is known about Gertrude as she spent many undocumented years travelling throughout the world, learning languages and studying in-depth along the way. It is believed she achieved many of her 60 levels during this stage of her life; however I do believe 5 of those levels are solely dedicated to locating a suitable and comfortable place to read her vast collection of books.
I was lucky enough to acquire an interview with the curator of the Lasuni Museum last year, who told me Gertrude spent a lot of her time studying in the museum’s private rooms. On hearing this, I managed to get my hands on one of her many journals, which led me on a perilous trail into the Amazon, in search of a clearer history of the legend.
“Day Fourteen
It is growing colder, and I have yet to find anything new about ...text is unreadable... I spoke to Ichabi today, leader of the Ikka Tribe, who warned ...text is unreadable... located in the Cavern of Man. I must travel through the vast niche if there is any hope in ...text is unreadable... before Angus the Bad does.
I dread the fate of the World should he get his hands on it first.
Gertrude”
I asked myself if it was possible our subject was an intrepid adventurer, and heroin to planet Earth, which is what lead me deep into the Amazonian Rainforest. After days of sleeping on the ground, tucking my trousers into my socks, and keeping a bug spray close at hand, I managed to speak to a member of the ancient Ikka. What I learned will not only shock you, reader, but you may never see Gertrude the same way again.
I believe our very own Gertrude discovered an ancient amulet hidden far beneath the Amazon River, giving her the power of everlasting life. It is clear to us that Gertrude has sacrificed her chance to have a loving family of her own in order to protect our world’s ancient histories from being lost forever. If you get the chance, why not ask her a question about her past? She has one story about a pterodactyl that’ll put a chill in your bones.
I believe I have only touched the surface, reader, and invite you to continue my research.
Good luck.

Knitted gray hair, a gentle visage, pink clothes and a red bandana; as she says it herself, what could an old lady like Gertrude do? She lives in a charming little house with a cozy living room that has a fireplace, lighting up the entire room and with a tiny bedroom. How innocent could this old lady be? And yet, somehow, she is level sixty.
How about a little bit of history? Hubble never used to be the utopian little town it is today. Before, creatures of multicolored scales with claws as sharp as tridents would scurry around this piece of land, thirsty for Lasoon blood and hungry for Lasoon flesh. Said beasts would terrorize the ancient people of Lasuni, devouring anyone who approached them in an instant.
Legend says that one day, a hero was born and put an end to this savagery caused by the creatures of the mine. This protagonist was light on their feet, but also very strong and strategic. In order to cease the chaos, the individual created a path of water to separate the town from the creatures. Then, if the animals ever tried crossing over to attack the people, they would just sink and drown in the water.
To this day, not much is known about the hero who saved Hubble. All that is specified is that the person was extraordinarily agile and used two prolonged sticks as weapons. Additionally, it is said that the legend still looks over Hubble today, but no one really knows how they do it.
Makes you wonder, don’t you think?

Once, in 1933, a baby was born...
Her parents named her Gertrude.
Gertrude was a very happy kid, but...
in 1940 her parents came in finincial crysis.
They decided to make a new start, in a new town, a new house...
They bought a house in North Hubble.
A little red house.
Getrude's dad started a new shop in the town, Hubble Attire.
A fashion shop. ( the old fashion from 1940. n_n )
It became a very good shop, and when Gertrude turned 18 ( in 1951 ) she needed to do something to spend her time with...
so she started working at Hubble Attire, as a fashion designer.
She designed the famous 'Plimsols'.
In 1960 her dad became to old to run the shop, so Gertrude took it over.
She needed help, so she hired Marge and Geon.
She had enough money to pay them.
Marge got a kid in 1953, so she worked less then bofore...
Geon still was there, but it became hard to keep running the shop.
She had to fire Geon...
The shop was closed for 15 years, Gertrude lived a easy life.
In 1968 they made a restart with Geon ( who got a child as well ), and Marge's child Margaret. ( who still works in Hubble Attire now!
)
Geons kid was 11 years old, not old enough to work.
The shop became good again, and Gertrude became richer again, but her dad died... sadly....
The shop continued, but Gertrude was on the background for some time.
She got back from her break and started working again.
3 years later Geon's child became 14, old enough to start working with Margaret ( who already turned 18! )
Geon didnt work at Hubble Attire, because Geoff did, and Gertrude was really happy they helped her so much.
In 1972 Gertrudes Mom died as well...
Gertrude took a break again, but Margaret and Geoff helped her with keeping the shop continuing.
In 1980 Gertrude became to old for her work, and she only did some work at the Background, Margaret and Geoff did the most. n_n
And a new baby was born in town as well, Gary.
Gertrude saw him growing up fast.
In 1993 they started mining in town.
The mine collapsed and got closed.
Gary started blocking the collapsed mine, and he fell in love with Gertrude. ( the age didnt mater!
)
Gertrude never got a husband, and she didnt care about the love.
She cared about the town.
In 2009 there came a lot new Lasunians in North Hubble, and 2 new Mayors, Dasaii and Jason.
The shop was closed for some time, because they needed a new design, new wallpaper, new floor, for the new Lasunians.
2nd February 2010 they reopened Hubble Attire for the new Lasunians, and al the Lasunians enjoyed it!
And, this is how it is now...
Wanna see Gertrude now?
Just visit the red house on the right side of North Hubble, in Lasuni of course.
